Regular season finishes with 23-6 over Concordia
The 2011 QSSF Men’s Rugby regular season ended this past weekend with a rematch of last year’s championship final as the undefeated McGill Redmen took on the Concordia Stingers away at ConU’s Loyola Campus. Bishops shut out 36-0, Club 1 WIN 1 LOSS vs QUEENS
Ah, the ides of October. A sumptuous month, rich with ornate colours and fescue, with which those harnessing even the slightest notion of a romantic heart, quiver with glee amongst the foliage. While there are those who’s saccharine tastes are more palatable to this experience, myself and fine young gentlemen of McGill RFC beg to differ. Take your crabapples and shove ‘em, Autumn...More Info
McGill 34-0 over Sherbrooke, Club A Clash with Ottawa U
The McGill Club A side played Ottawa First XV in a classic Upper vs. Lower Canada showdown of federalists and more 'nation within a country' sentimentalists of the East. It was a hard and physical game that left many battered and bruised. McGill trailed for most of the game but fought hard to salvage the pride of The Mighty Red against our maroon-clad foes...More Info

The McGill Redmen hit the road for the second week in a row down to the Eastern Townships, this time to play the Sherbrooke Vert et Or. There was little to be said about the first playoff game of the 2010 McGill Rugby season. You lose, you’re out. VARSITY TRIUMPH OVER BISHOPS, CLUB FALLS TO OTTAWA
Club A v Ottawa
A tumultuous morning blanketed by the heavy sedation of grey clouds overhead set a tone that was totally remarkable to the game that was to ensue. The trees upon Mt. Royal were fluttering about in the midst of their annual Autumn Explosion, and our sweet Valentine was snoozing away, set for a long Winter’s nap, see you February 14th my friend...MORE

McGILL VICTORIOUS OVER MONTREAL RIVAL CONU
A tense but jovial mood was set in the change room of the local all-boys Catholic High School. Whether it be the upcoming game or the pubescent dance going on up stairs we knew that some Maroon was going to be torn tonight...hopefully by the McGill Rugby Team...
Despite the expectation set for the place of employment by our mighty coach, Craig Beemer, there was little one could do about the administrivia completed (or lack thereof) by one Jon “I Got My Forms In” Lee, who, on this night was expounding prophetic quotes as systematically as his patented “Pillage of the in-Ruck Ball.”
As the warm-up commenced, there was an ubiquitous air of self-assurance. This, unbeknownst to the Redmen would be a detriment to the initial stages of the game... MORE
McGILL 34 - SHERBROOKE 3
The first regular season game for the McGill Redmen took them on the road. Venturing east into the depths of the Quebec campagne to Sherbrooke, a bus-full of souls readied themselves for the battle ahead.
In a flurry of red, the team took to the field. The Vert et Or gave us everything that we could handle, crunching forward crashes and yeoman-esque tackling, it was not until the latter portion of the first half that the Redmen were able to break the game open and score some timely tries...MORE

Despite the common misconception that come summertime, most McGill students choose to broaden their cultural horizons or attend that super hip music festival (don’t worry about it, you haven’t heard of it), there was, in fact, some very successful Rugby played by current and past Redmen alike.
