McGill Club 55, Sherbrooke 0
The Mcgill club team decided to throw down a gauntlet for our varsity squad against Sherbrooke, and throw down a gauntlet they did. With a 55-0 drubbing of Shebrooke which was high-lighted by some new talent and some wiley veterens. Sherbrooke didn't know where they were with 5 first half tries from rookie centre Chris Horwood. It appears their gameplan was totally thrown off due to the fact that they had prepared for Matt Edwards at centre. Cam smith rounded out the scoring for the first half with two more tries. The game was over at this point, but we were still thirsty for more with one try a piece from Captain Jon Bell and Danial Brenhouse. The second half marked some of the first playing time for many rookies who held Sherbrooke for the shut-out. The game also saw the fairy princess rising like a pheonix out of the fire to deliver bone crushing hits. Chris Horwood hit three conversions and Jon Bell two. In this one sided game the club team has shown that this season it will be a force to be reckoned with.
