McGill 55 - Bishops 0 Oct. 03, 2007 Tries: Adrian Thorogood, Jon Phelan, Cayse Ruiter, Bryce Thomassin, Alistair Crow, Kyle Buckley (3) Conversions: Alistair Crow (6 + 1 PG) The only thing that the Bishop's Coach managed to stutter after McGill chomped up the Gaiters this past Wednesday was: "that...that...that must be the best back line i've ever seen in university ball in this province." He may be right. 4 McGill backs delivered 6 tries over the course of the game. Bryce Thomassin picked up a loose ball and came up on top of a 40 yard kick and chase, beating the Bishop fullback to the ball. Winger Kyle Buckley was a nightmare for his opposite number, burning up the outside of the pitch for 3 gorgeous tries. Despite being an away game, Buckley and lifelong pal James Stellick were rumored to have lifted weights in the Bishop's gym after the game, putting in a few 'curls for the girls'. Flyhalf Adrian Thorogood used his patented dummy to open up the line and stride in for another 5 points. The Mcgill Pack was not to be outdone, with tries coming from lock Jon 'too tall' Phelan, and Flanker Cayse 'Poster Boy' Reuter. They dominated the lineouts and scrums, wearing out a beleageured Gaiter Pack over the 80 minutes of play. McGill's goal this season is to prove that they are of ORU caliber, and they hope to do this by having zero points score against them this year. With the last two shutouts, they might need to find a way to set the bar higher.
