Hello and welcome to JTL-Software-GmbH. The following video is part of our video series “Getting started with JTL”. In this video series we build up an online business together with you step by step: the sports shop “Sommer”. Imagine you have an online shop for sportswear and sports accessories. In this video, we will show you how to connect your eBay account with JTL-Wawi. For this purpose, we use JTL-eazyAuction. What is JTL-eazyAuction and how does it work? This is the first question, we will answer. Next we discuss the requirements for a successful use of JTL-eazyAuction. Then we register to JTL-eazyAuction. Thereafter we connect JTL-Wawi with JTL-eazyAuction. Finally, we will list an item on eBay. What is JTL-eazyAuction? The fully integrated interface JTL-eazyAuction connects JTL-Wawi with the marketplaces eBay and Amazon. With JTL-eazyAuction you can control all tasks that you would normally perform in your Amazon Seller Central or “My eBay” centrally and automatically from your enterprise resource planning system. During a data synchronisation JTL-eazyAuction transfers all changes, e.g. price or inventory changes, to the servers of the marketplaces. Your offers are updated automatically. JTL-eazyAuction – Requirements First requirement: at least one sale has already been completely processed via the eBay account that we want to link to JTL-eazyAuction. An offer must be successfully sold and fully completed with the account. This means sales and shipping must have been processed. It is not possible to link a completely new eBay account with JTL-eazyAuction. Second requirement: JTL-Wawi is installed. JTL-eazyAuction can only connect with your own JTL-Wawi. For detailed instructions on how to install JTL-Wawi, please refer to the other videos and our online documentation. Steps for registration Another prerequisite for the use of JTL-eazyAuction is a customer centre account. A customer centre account is created on our homepage. We go to “Items – eBay/Amazon access”. Her again, all relevant information are listed, such as price and scope of services. You can test JTL-eazyAuction 14 days for free and without any obligation. Just click the corresponding button. If you already have an account for the JTL-Customer Centre, you can sign in here and continue. If not, fill in all fields and click “Create user account”. In the JTL Customer Centre, items and services can be acquired. We click on “eBay & Amazon”. Again an overview of the rates for JTL-eazyAuction appears. We now register for the 14-day, non-binding, free test phase. We assign a name to our JTL-eazyAuction account and click “Create user account”. Then we click “Back” and go to the eBay administration. In the eBay administration we link our JTL-eazyAuction account with our eBay account. We click “eBay accounts”. We can link our JTL-eazyAuction account either with eBay’s productive or sandbox accounts. As seller we use a productive account. We click “Next”. We are redirected to eBay where we have to sign in with the eBay account we want to link to JTL-eazyAuction. As soon as we agree here, JTL-eazyAuction gets access to your eBay account and you can perform all actions with JTL-Wawi that you have previously performed via “My eBay”. After approval we will be redirected to the eBay administration of JTL-eazyAuction. At the top, our eBay account linked to JTL-eazyAuction appears. At the same time, we receive an email with the access data that we have to enter in JTL-Wawi. If you lose this data, you can generate new data at any time and have it sent to you. Connecting eBay account After we have signed in to JTL-Wawi, we go to the menu “Marketplaces – eBay: Connect account”. We click “Create” in the window “Registered ebay accounts”. We enter the account name at the top. This name will be used internally by JTL-Wawi and is freely selectable. Below we enter the access data from the email we received. In the first two check boxes, we define whether or not we want to enable the option “Good til cancelled” in our “My eBay” account. It is important that we enable the upper check box only if we also have the “Out of stock” option active in our “My eBay” account. For further information, please refer to eBay and our online documentation. In the lower check box, we determine whether we want to control the inventories on eBay with JTL-Wawi. Next we define the eBay marketplaces where we want to sell. All settings can still be changed later. Before we can save the account, we have to test the entered connection data. After a positive response we click “OK” to save the account. We have successfully connected JTL-Wawi with JTL-eazyAuction. Initial synchronisation Before we list our first item on eBay, we have to make a synchronisation with JTL-eazyAuction. We open “Marketplaces”. We click the “Start eBay synchronisation” button. In the eBay synchronisation window, we define what data we want to transfer. At the first synchronisation, we tick the first three check boxes and click on “Start synchronisation”. As soon as we have pressed the “Start synchronisation” button, JTL-Wawi connects to JTL-eazyAuction. All changes to eBay listings that we have previously determined are transferred. In addition, all completed purchase transactions are retrieved by eBay and are created as orders in JTL-Wawi. Of course, the synchronisation does not always have to be carried out manually but can be automated using JTL-Worker. For further information about JTL-Worker, please refer to the other videos and our online documentation. We do the first synchronisation to retrieve certain data from eBay that we will need later. When the synchronisation is complete, we are finished with the setup. Listing offers Finally, we list a football on eBay. We go to the item master data. We have created this football in another video “Getting started with JTL-Wawi: Creating items”. First we want to activate the images that we have saved for our football. For this purpose, we open the item details. We open “Images” tab and select the images that we want to use for eBay and enable the corresponding check box. The image at the top becomes the main image on eBay. We save our item. Excursion: Templates for efficiency eBay listings are managed in JTL-Wawi by eBay templates. We first have to generate an eBay template for our football to offer it on eBay. We highlight the item to be listed and click on “Add”. In an eBay template we can set everything as we are used to in “My eBay” when listing new offers. We can adapt the price and determine the offer period. We define the item location. Thereafter we open “Category” tab. On the left side, all categories of eBay are listed. We select the appropriate category for our football. Next we click “Update category attributes”. With this button we update the attributes for the selected eBay category. Some of these attributes are mandatory so that the football can be uploaded as an eBay offer. Others are optional. We will fill in only the mandatory data in this video. The manufacturer number is mandatory for our football. Therefore we enter the number. The entry of the manufacturer is also mandatory. We have defined the manufacturer already in our getting started video when we generated the item. JTL-Wawi has added the manufacturer on its own. For further information about eBay category attributes and how to fill them automatically, please refer to our online documentation. We check whether we have entered all mandatory data for the “Balls” category. All mandatory data are filled and we go to “Shipping/Payment” tab. Now we define the shipping and payment terms for our offer. We select the appropriate shipping service provider from the list provided on eBay. We ship our football free of charge and therefore enter no price for shipping costs. Next we select the handling time. It will be three days. Our football can only be paid directly via PayPal. Therefore, we tick the corresponding check box and enter our PayPal email address. Next we define the return conditions for our football. The “Design template” tab provides many design templates supplied by JTL-Wawi for our offer. Of course, we can create also individual design templates and customise existing ones. We select a design template and open “Images” tab. This tab lists all images that we have previously activated for eBay in the item details. The first image becomes the gallery image. We have made all required settings for the eBay template. We click “OK” to save the template. The eBay listing template for our football is listed at the bottom. Of course, different templates for an item or automated templates for many items can be created. For information on how to do this and which other settings can be made in the templates, please refer to the other videos and our online documentation. Continuation: Listing offers We select the template and click “Create listing”. The listing template opens once again. If necessary, we can make changes, for example change the price. But since we have only just made all the settings, we simply click “Create”. Next we open “Marketplaces” tab. In the eBay area, we go to “Orders to be listed”. All orders listed here, will be transferred to eBay with the next synchronisation. In our case, also our football. We start an eBay synchronisation and after successful transfer our offer appears in turquoise. The colour means that our offer is currently being checked by eBay and whether the settings we have made are permissible. After a few minutes we do another eBay synchronisation. Once everything is set correctly, the offer will disappear from the list of listings. Now it appears under the current offers. With a double click we can open and change the current offer. Adjusting the price afterwards, for example, is no problem. If we select an offer and click on “View” below, our web browser opens and the offer is opened on eBay. Ending listings If we want to end our offer early, it is done quickly and easily. Simply highlight the current offer and click “Edit”. We confirm the security request and with that our offer is finished again. These were the first steps in JTL-eazyAuction eBay. Thank you for your attention!
